According to the publication EAN, the work is extensive, involving part of the sidewalk. A safe passage for pedestrians has been arranged next to the building.
This concerns the former estate of merchant A. M. Parshuchenko — a cultural heritage site from the early 20th century. The stone two-story building was constructed in 1904, and in the 1910s it was expanded with a courtyard annex.
The building had been in a state of emergency for many years. It has not been in use since 2006, its foundation was flooded, the brickwork was partially destroyed, and the internal ceilings were lost. In 2021, the property with the land plot was purchased for 40.1 million rubles by hockey player and entrepreneur Pavel Datsyuk. He announced plans for the restoration of the architectural monument and the creation of a hotel within it.
Earlier, it was reported that millions of rubles would be allocated in Yekaterinburg for the repair of the entrance stele to the city.
