In the apartment of a resident of Yekaterinburg, nearly 60 people from Ingushetia registered after a "break-in."
Police officers are conducting an investigation into reports that nearly 60 people from Ingushetia were registered in the apartment of a resident of Yekaterinburg without her knowledge, RIA Novosti reports.
The Telegram channel "Baza" reported the day before that the account of the Yekaterinburg resident was hacked on "Gosuslugi" in Ingushetia, and a whole mountain village was registered in her "modest two-room apartment."
Due to the large number of registered individuals, she received a bill for 50,000 rubles for utilities, the 49-year-old apartment owner told "Baza."
However, as stated in the publication, the police refused to initiate a criminal case because they could not identify those registered and determine the material damage.
A total of 57 people were secretly registered in the apartment. This occurred after the woman's account on Gosuslugi was hacked.
Officials reported that access to the account was restored in person through a service center in Ingushetia, which was later closed "for unsatisfactory work."
Some of the "residents" of the apartment have already contacted the Pension Fund department in Yekaterinburg to apply for benefits for 85 children.
"The application from the citizen has been registered at police department No. 9. An investigation is currently underway. The property owner has been advised to contact the migration department at her place of residence and to stop the registration of individuals who have been unauthorizedly registered in her apartment," a representative of the city’s Internal Affairs Ministry told RIA Novosti.
Earlier in May, it became known about the arrest in KhMAO of a resident of Yekaterinburg for attempting to steal money from the accounts of a resident of Surgut, access to which was obtained through hacking an account on Gosuslugi. This "service" was provided to the criminal by an employee of the MFC living in Kabardino-Balkaria.
