Preparations for the construction of the metro have begun in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, a tender has been announced for the preparation of a feasibility study for the extension of the first line of the metro. The initial cost of the contract is 200 million rubles. Information about the auction is posted on the government procurement portal, reports EAN.
According to the technical specifications, the contractor must develop at least three options for the routing of new sections of the metro. Among the mandatory options is the extension of the existing line in the northern direction from the "Prospekt Kosmonavtov" station to the future "Severnaya" station.
The contractor will need to determine the length of the new double-track line, the number of stations, and the depth of their placement, as well as prepare a preliminary cost estimate for construction.
The results of the competition are planned to be summarized on July 6. The contractor must complete the development of the feasibility study by the beginning of March 2027.
