A mother and her young son, who died due to a bus accident on March 8 in Yekaterinburg, will be buried together.
Ekaterina Sokolova and her nine-year-old son, who died as a result of a bus accident in the center of Yekaterinburg, will be buried in the same grave. This was reported by the head of the family, Ruslan Sokolov, to the URA.RU agency.
According to the man, a common monument with one photograph will be erected for the mother and child.
— They left together, and they will be together further, — shared Ruslan.
The man learned about the tragedy that occurred on June 10 only the next morning. At the time of the accident, he was in Rostov with his older son. After Ruslan was unable to contact his wife and younger child, an investigator called him and informed him of what had happened. After that, the man urgently returned to Yekaterinburg.
According to Ruslan, the boy is struggling to cope with the loss of his mother and brother.
The family is receiving support from friends, acquaintances, neighbors, and teachers from school No. 48, where the boy studied, and where Ekaterina headed the parent committee. Help is also coming from the spouses' colleagues: Ruslan works at the company "Rostelecom," and Ekaterina worked at the company "Motiv."
At the same time, the man noted that he has not yet received financial assistance from the transport company "Avto-Nom." Company representatives contacted the family and offered support, but according to Ruslan, no specific help has been provided at this time.
— We will need about 500,000 rubles just for the monument, — said the man.
On the evening of June 10, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the center of Yekaterinburg involving a passenger bus. At the intersection of Malysheva and March 8 streets, bus route No. 81 collided with a Lifan car, after which it lost control, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into people.
As a result of the accident, four people died — two women, a man, and a 9-year-old boy. Several others were injured and hospitalized.
According to law enforcement, there were 11 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. They were not harmed. The bus driver and the driver of the car also managed to avoid injury.
