In the Sverdlovsk region, the construction of an important bridge worth 1 billion rubles has begun.

In the Verkhoturye district of the Sverdlovsk region, the active phase of construction has begun for a bridge over the Tura River, which will connect the village of Ust-Salda and the village of Bochkareva. The cost of the project exceeds 1.2 billion rubles. Reports "Signal Ural."

According to the press service of the Administration of the Verkhoturye municipal district on "VKontakte," preparatory work started in February: the contractor set up the construction site and began organizing the work.

Currently, builders have begun one of the key stages of the project - the installation of bored piles, which will serve as the foundation for the future bridge.

According to the project, the length of the bridge will be 320 meters. Reconstruction of about one kilometer of access road is also planned. The bridge and road will be two-lane, with asphalt concrete pavement. The project includes a sidewalk and an outdoor lighting system. Construction is expected to be completed in September 2028.

The new bridge will provide year-round transportation between Bochkareva and Ust-Salda, where a school, a medical and obstetric station, and access to the Verkhoturye - Makhnevo highway are located.

Currently, the only connection between the settlements is a pedestrian bridge, which regularly gets flooded. The alternative detour route exceeds 30 kilometers.
