The Sverdlovsk region will send 30 firefighting paratroopers from the Ural aviation base to the Krasnoyarsk region to assist in combating forest fires. The decision was made at the request of the region's governor, Mikhail Kotyukov, against the backdrop of worsening forest fire conditions in the northern part of the region.

As reported by the acting governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Denis Pasler, the situation with natural fires in the Middle Urals remains stable. Thanks to abundant precipitation, the risk of fires has significantly decreased. In this regard, regional authorities plan to lift the special fire safety regime.

      — Tomorrow at the meeting of the Sverdlovsk region government, we plan to make a decision to lift the special fire safety regime until the situation changes, — noted Pasler.

The special fire safety regime has been in effect in the region since April 15. During this period, a ban on open flames and the use of barbecues in summer cottages has been introduced.
