Earlier this week, a woman was detained in Yekaterinburg who was taking and sending photographs of servicemen's graves to "curators" for money. Recruitment was carried out under the pretext of "work" that a Sverdlovsk freelancer was looking for online.
Over several months, she took thousands of photographs of the graves of Russian servicemen, reports the "Antiterror Ural" channel.
Several similar cases have been recorded in the Sverdlovsk region, reports "Kommersant-Ural." At the same time, people who take the photos often believe they are helping the relatives of the deceased, who allegedly cannot visit the graves, the official representative of the FSB reported.
Those photographing graves on behalf of the enemy may face criminal liability, including under the article on treason, the FSB emphasizes.
To protect trusting citizens from illegal actions, special signs warning of the consequences will be placed in city cemeteries. Cemetery visitors who notice photographers will also be warned.
