At "Gortrans," they commented on the attack on a bus driver that occurred on the night of June 20. As reported by the branch director Viktor Zamkov to the OTV channel, the driver violated internal instructions by leaving the cabin and engaging in a conflict with passengers. Despite this, the company intends to provide him with support.
According to Zamkov, in such situations, the driver should remain in the cabin, close the windows, contact the dispatcher, and report the incident.
After the incident, "Gortrans" is considering equipping public transport with panic buttons for quick calls to the police and Rosgvardiya personnel. The company noted that cases of attacks on drivers are becoming more frequent.
The damage from the incident was estimated by the company at 154,000 rubles. This amount included costs for replacing the broken bus window and losses related to vehicle downtime.
The incident occurred late in the evening on June 20. According to the company, the driver of route No. 67 was completing the last trip and departed from the "Retail Park" stop towards the bus station at 11:22 PM. At the "Military" stop, a group of five young people entered the bus, who, according to the municipal enterprise, were in a state of alcohol intoxication.
Upon arrival at the final stop, the driver asked the passengers to leave the bus. According to the transport company's version, the young people approached the driver's cabin and provoked a conflict. During the fight, they used fists and a stun gun, and the bus also sustained damage.
