In Yekaterinburg, a driver received a 10-day administrative arrest for repeatedly ignoring the police's requirement to remove the tint from his car, reports the propaganda department of the city's State Traffic Safety Inspectorate.
For driving a vehicle with windows that do not meet the established light transmission standards, the driver of a BMW X5 had been held administratively liable multiple times. The man ignored the lawful demands of the police officers and continued to drive as he pleased.
As a result, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Yekaterinburg found the 37-year-old local resident guilty under part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (disobedience to a lawful order or requirement of a police officer) and imposed a punishment in the form of administrative arrest for a period of 10 days.
According to the established regulatory standards, the light transmission of the windshield and front side windows must be at least 70%.
