The Sverdlovsk authorities reported on the situation with gasoline in the region.
At the next meeting of the government, the situation regarding fuel supply in the Sverdlovsk region and cases of unjustified price increases at certain gas stations were discussed.
According to Deputy Governor Sergey Shvindt, a sufficient stock of gasoline has been formed in the region to fully meet demand. Diesel fuel has been fully supplied to Ural agricultural producers, allowing seasonal work to proceed without disruptions.
It was noted that major fuel companies such as Gazpromneft, Lukoil, Bashneft, and Tatneft operate in the region. According to the regional office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, price fluctuations among large players remain within market values, while isolated cases of price increases are recorded among independent suppliers, and work is being done with them.
Representatives of fuel companies reported that, against the backdrop of increased speculative demand, temporary restrictions on fuel dispensing were introduced to stabilize logistics and resource distribution.
Authorities link the rise in demand to the spread of false information about a possible fuel shortage, which, according to them, periodically provokes panic and queues at gas stations.
The governor instructed to develop a mechanism for guaranteed fuel supply to gas stations in remote settlements where major networks are not represented.
