Most Yekaterinburg residents are in favor of closing well-maintained parks at night.
Most residents of Yekaterinburg support restricting access to parks, which have been improved with budget funds, during nighttime.
This follows from the results of an online vote conducted by the Yekaterinburg city administration ahead of the reopening of the 50th Anniversary of the VLKSM Park, which is being renovated with federal budget funds under the "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment" program.
A survey on the need for fencing around the perimeter of the 50th Anniversary of the VLKSM Park was conducted on the Feedback Platform of the State Services portal, the city administration's press service reports.
56.8% of residents voted "for" the installation of fences, while 43.2% voted "against." Even more citizens—79.7%—voted for the park to be closed at night, reports the Information Portal of Yekaterinburg.
Let us remind you that the 50th Anniversary of the VLKSM Park won in the voting as part of the federal project "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment." More than 100,000 residents voted for its improvement. The work is promised to be completed by City Day.
Next in line for large-scale reconstruction are the embankments of the Iset and Olkhovka rivers (work has already begun) and the Osnovinsky Park.
