More than 300 private residential and summer houses remain flooded in 17 municipalities as a result of heavy rainfall in the Sverdlovsk region, reports the regional EMERCOM of Russia on Thursday morning.
Underwater are also 3,112 household plots.
In the past 24 hours, 183 private residential houses, 1,451 household plots, and 2 sections of roads have been freed from water, according to EMERCOM.
18 people are currently in temporary accommodation centers, while others have found shelter with relatives and friends.
Rescuers continue to work in the flooded areas: providing targeted assistance, delivering drinking water, evacuating people, and conducting door-to-door visits. Monitoring of the area is being carried out with the help of drones.
In several municipalities, water is being pumped out with the help of motor pumps. Riverbeds are being cleared using machinery.
A total of more than 300 people and 90 units of equipment have been involved in eliminating the consequences of the rain flood and providing assistance to the population.
For the current day, an increase in the water level in the Chusovaya River is forecasted in the territory of the village of Staroutkinsk (Shalinsky district).
