Injured passenger: a guy who shot at four passenger buses was detained in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, a 21-year-old guy was detained for shooting at several passenger buses and cars in Solnechny. It all happened at the end of June 2026. At that moment, the guy was in a relative's apartment on Luchistaya, from where he fired several times using sporting equipment. His projectiles were 9-millimeter metal balls that he had purchased in advance.
— Four buses belonging to a municipal unitary enterprise and two commercial organizations were damaged, as well as three private cars. Significant damage was caused to all. Additionally, as a result of the shots, one bus passenger, a 51-year-old man, was injured in the torso area, — noted the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk region.
For a week, operatives and investigators from the Investigative Committee of Russia searched for the guy in the private sector, and eventually managed to detain the hooligan. The press group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Yekaterinburg noted that the detained individual was previously not convicted. During the arrest, they seized a weapon and a bag of 9-millimeter balls from him. The same type of balls were found at the crime scene. The detainee admitted that he shot "for fun." He got bored and decided to shoot at the roadway. According to him, the passing buses were empty, and he did not think he could harm anyone.
The guy was charged with crimes under the articles "Attempted murder committed out of hooligan motives against two or more persons," "Hooliganism committed with the use of items used as weapons," and "Intentional damage to someone else's property causing significant damage." Earlier, we reported that an armed Yekaterinburg resident was threatening passersby and neighbors.
