A native of Nizhny Tagil, 25-year-old Pavel Dorofeev has signed a long-term contract with the NHL club New York Rangers for a total of 77 million dollars.
The agreement is for seven years, with the average salary of the hockey player amounting to 11 million dollars per season. This is a record contract among players born in the Sverdlovsk region.
Dorofeev made his debut in the 2018/2019 season with Magnitogorsk's Metallurg, and then played for Chelyabinsk's Traktor. By 2021, Pavel made his NHL debut, playing for the Vegas Golden Knights, gradually establishing himself in the team's main roster. During this time, he has proven himself to be a productive forward and has attracted the attention of other clubs in the league, reports Vedomosti Ural.
