"Flooding down on us." In Yekaterinburg, eight garden cooperatives in VIZ have been flooded.
Eight gardening associations in the private sector of Green Island in the Verkh-Isetsky district of Yekaterinburg have been flooded, reports 66.RU. According to a source from the portal, they are saving others at their expense.
“Drainage has been buried for us. They are intentionally holding water and releasing it onto us so that no one in the city gets flooded,” says a reader of 66.RU.
According to an informed source from the publication, if the floodwater is released from the Verkh-Isetsky pond, “all of Yekaterinburg will drown.”
To reduce the risks of flooding and damage, this will be done gradually.
The operability of the Verkh-Isetsky dam is ensured by the institution "Drainage and Artificial Structures." The level of water released for it is determined by a federal structure.
Recall that in June, the Sverdlovsk region received three months' worth of precipitation, while Yekaterinburg received two months' worth. Due to the rains in the region, flooding began on June 29.
Streets in the center of Yekaterinburg and on the outskirts have been submerged. In the Nizhneserginsky and Pervouralsky districts, the flooding has taken on the character of a natural disaster.
A state of emergency continues to be in effect in the Ural capital and four other districts of the Sverdlovsk region.
