      The exhibition-fair of products from the institutions of the penal system from 9 regions of Russia opened in Yekaterinburg on Friday, July 3. In one day, the revenue of the FSIN colonies amounted to 1.8 million rubles, reports the press service of the GUFSIN of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region.

      This year, the traditional specialized exhibition-fair of products produced in the institutions of the penal enforcement system, which started on July 3 at the Palace of Youth in Yekaterinburg, is being held for the 15th time. It will last for two days - July 3 and 4.

      The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the GUFSIN of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region, Lieutenant General of the Internal Service Alexander Fedorov, federal inspector for the Sverdlovsk region in the office of the presidential envoy to the Ural Federal District Sergey Vdovin, head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov, and the human rights commissioner in the region Tatyana Merzlyakova.

      Nine GUFSIN (UFSIN) institutions presented their diverse products: from the Perm Krai, Kurgan, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Orenburg regions, as well as the Republic of Bashkortostan.

      They brought Chelyabinsk boxes made of natural stone, Omsk knives, sabers with elements of precious metals and stones, Perm knitwear, woven baskets, and various decorative straw crafts for home and summer cottages, Orenburg paintings, and icons. Bashkir souvenirs are widely represented.

      A wide selection of products was presented by the institutions of the GUFSIN of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region: barbecue zones, fire bowls, swings, gazebos, furniture for home, garden, and summer cottages made from various materials, a variety of handmade sewing and souvenir products, and fresh meat food products.

      On the first day of the exhibition, institutions from 9 FSIN regions earned 1 million 800 thousand rubles. Of this, 1.1 million was earned by the colonies of the Sverdlovsk region. The Sverdlovsk GUFSIN is the industrial leader in Russia - in 2025 it produced goods and provided services worth 4.9 billion rubles.
