The duty officer of the non-departmental security of Rosgvardiya in Yekaterinburg received a report of the activation of the "panic button" from the shopping center on Malysheva. A crew was dispatched to the scene. The officers found that a conflict had occurred between visitors in the shopping center's restroom, after which a shot was fired.
The security guard immediately pressed the "panic button." A 39-year-old man approached the law enforcement officers with visible bodily injuries on his face. He stated that he had a dispute with a stranger in the restroom, after which the stranger pulled out a gas pistol and shot him in the head.
Rosgvardiya officers, together with the shopping center security, found and detained the shooter. He was taken to the police, and the victim was hospitalized with lacerations to the soft tissues of the head.
In the media relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Yekaterinburg, it was reported that the shooter's identity was established - he is a man born in 1998, previously not convicted and unemployed, a resident of the Sverdlovsk region. He has been held administratively responsible for petty hooliganism, the EAN publication reports.
Earlier, it was reported that gunfire erupted in a queue for gasoline at a Ural gas station.
