In the Sverdlovsk region, the ceiling collapsed in a kindergarten.

      An incident occurred at kindergarten No. 2 in the Kamyshlov urban district involving a ceiling collapse. Following the incident, State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova called for an investigation into the circumstances of the event.

      According to the parliamentarian, there is particular concern regarding information that appeared in the media, stating that after the collapse, the children were not evacuated from the building. It is also reported that the staff of the institution independently cleared the debris, and parents were allegedly asked not to publicize the incident and to help with repairs.

      In this regard, Yana Lantratova sent a request to the prosecutor of the Sverdlovsk region, Boris Krylov, asking for a comprehensive investigation of the incident and a legal assessment of the actions of those responsible.

      Additionally, the deputy reported that she is keeping the situation under control together with the human rights commissioner in the Sverdlovsk region, Tatyana Merzlyakova.

      — The safety of children in schools and kindergartens must be guaranteed unconditionally, Lantratova emphasized.
