"Employees of the Pretrial Detention Center No. 6 (Kirovgrad) conducted a charity event aimed at supporting homeless animals. The collected food and other necessary items were donated to one of the city's shelters for four-legged friends. The initiative came from the very workers of the institution, who are concerned about the problem of stray animals," the press service of the agency reported.
A collection of humanitarian aid was organized. Over several days, employees brought in dry and wet food.
Representatives of the shelter thanked the employees of the institution for their attention and support. According to the volunteers, while the pets wait for their new owners, this brings them warmth and care at home.
Earlier, employees of the Sverdlovsk Federal Penitentiary Service found a home for five service dogs that had retired.
