Evgeny Tolstov has been a soloist at the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy Theater since 2003. He joined the troupe immediately after graduating from the Yekaterinburg State Theatre Institute (Department of "Actor of Musical Theatre," under the course of Professor, People's Artist of the Russian Federation K.S. Strezhnev).
He began participating in theatrical productions in the early 1990s. According to the portal "Kino-Theater.RU," Tolstov was awarded the International Festival "Sunny Disk" prize for his role as Pierrot in the musical "The Adventures of Buratino" (Yekaterinburg) in 1993.
