A new mural by artist Kirill Borodin has appeared in the center of Yekaterinburg. The work, titled "There is a Mood," adorns one of the walls in the area of Vainera Street and the "Passage" shopping center.
According to the author, the mural is dedicated to the joy that can be found in everyday life. It depicts a typical walk through the city with familiar yet warm moments: meetings with friends, gatherings in cafes, memorable photographs, and delicious food.
In the work, the artist left several hidden details. Among them is a self-portrait with the gesture "all is well," as well as references to his own gallery works and "Portrait with a Goose"—the first work by Kirill Borodin created for the "Stenographia" festival in 2022.
To create the mural, the artist used techniques characteristic of easel painting: layering, a combination of various textures, and the merging of abstract elements with realistic images.
