In the Sverdlovsk region, a murder committed by a woman in the last century has been solved.
In the Sverdlovsk region, employees of the criminal investigation department, together with the regional FSB office, uncovered a contract murder that was committed back in 1999. Law enforcement officers detained the alleged perpetrator of the crime, an intermediary, and two clients.
As reported by the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region, Valery Gorelykh, the organizers of the murder turned out to be a mother and daughter. According to the investigation, they decided to deal with a woman whom they considered responsible for the death of their relative. To carry out the crime, they involved an intermediary and then hired a local resident known in criminal circles by the nickname Yakut.
According to police data, the man had previously been repeatedly brought to criminal responsibility for crimes related to the illegal drug trade, thefts, kidnapping, and murder. He was last serving time in correctional colony No. 63 in Ivdel.
Another local resident, nicknamed Tatarin, became an accomplice in the crime. The investigation believes that it was they who, for a reward, dealt with the victim: the woman was strangled, after which her body was taken in the trunk of a car beyond the territory of the Serebryakov plant and drowned in a body of water, tied with wire to a concrete slab.
The crime could not be solved on the hot trail. It was only after 27 years that investigators were able to identify witnesses, gather evidence, and reach the alleged participants in the murder. One of the suspects voluntarily appeared at law enforcement agencies to confess.
Currently, two defendants are in custody, while another is under house arrest. One of the alleged clients, a pensioner, has been placed in a hospital due to health issues. After treatment, she will also have to answer before the court.
