In just a couple of days, the Sverdlovsk region has closed the monthly norm for rainfall for the month ahead.

      In the west of the Sverdlovsk region, the monthly norm of precipitation fell within a few days.

      The rainy weather continues in the Sverdlovsk region. According to meteorologists, by the morning of August 3, the monthly norm of precipitation had already fallen at seven weather stations in the western part of the region.

      As reported by the Ural Hydrometeorological Center, the most rainy areas included Severouralsk, Kachkanar, Kytlym, Krasnoturinsk, Visim, Lipovskoye, and Revda. The highest amount of precipitation recorded in the last 12 hours was in Revda - 41 mm, and also in Visim - 37 mm.

      At the same time, the eastern areas of the region were significantly less affected by the bad weather. There, only 5-18% of the monthly norm of precipitation fell, and there has been no rain at all in Tabory.

      In Yekaterinburg, on the day of August 2, the air warmed up to +19.3 °C. During the day, 4 mm of precipitation fell, and at night there was a thunderstorm that brought another 5 mm of rain. The nighttime temperature was +15.3 °C.

      According to meteorologists' forecasts, the rainy cyclone has already shifted from the Sverdlovsk region towards Kazakhstan, so precipitation is gradually weakening. On August 5 and 6, light rains are only possible in some areas, mainly in the northern part of the region.

      In the second half of the week, atmospheric fronts will continue to pass through the Middle Ural. They will bring short-term rains of low and moderate intensity; however, prolonged downpours are not expected according to preliminary forecasts.
