The roads in Yekaterinburg will be closed on the weekend.

      This upcoming weekend, the "Europe - Asia" marathon will take place again in Yekaterinburg. Due to this, the city center will be closed and bus routes will be changed.

      The longest restrictions will affect Boris Yeltsin Street. From 8:00 PM on August 7 to 8:00 PM on August 9, the section from house No. 2 on Oktyabrskaya Square to 8 Marta Street will be closed.

      Additionally, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM on August 8, traffic will be closed on the section of Boris Yeltsin Street from house No. 3/2 to 8 Marta Street, as well as on 8 Marta Street from Boris Yeltsin to Lenin Avenue.

      From 12:00 PM on August 8 to 1:00 PM on August 9, it will not be possible to drive on Gorky, Proletarskaya, and Dzerzhinsky Streets.

      On the day of the marathon, August 9, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a number of central streets will be completely closed to vehicles, including sections of Boris Yeltsin Street, 8 Marta Street, Lenin Avenue, Tolmacheva, Tsarskaya, and Pervomaiskaya. At the same time, movement of individual mobility devices will be prohibited on the closed sections, and parking of vehicles will be prohibited throughout the entire period of preparation and holding of the competition.

      Due to the restrictions, public transport operations will also change.

      Starting from the evening of August 7, buses No. 43 and No. 45 will begin to operate on new routes.

      On the day of the marathon, from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM on August 9, the routes of buses No. 46, 48, 52, 54, 60, 62, 81, 87, 89, and 93 will be temporarily changed. They will bypass the closed central streets according to temporary schemes.

      The runs will take place on August 8 and 9. This time, the following distances are prepared for participants:

      42.2 kilometers - marathon classic;

      21.1 kilometers - half marathon;

      10 kilometers - for confident amateurs;

      3 kilometers - charity "Rock Run";

      800 meters - children's start.

      The longest distances will pass through the historical center of Yekaterinburg, city streets, and the embankment. Participants will see the Yeltsin Center, the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Church on the Blood, the "Iset" Tower, and other iconic landmarks of the Ural capital.

      August 8:

      12:00 PM - Fan zone opens;

      2:00 PM - children's run;

      3:00 PM - concert of Ural rock bands;

      3:55 PM - warm-up for the rock run;

      4:05 PM - opening of the rock run;

      4:10 PM - start of the Charity rock run;

      5:00 PM - performance by the band "Gradusy"

      August 9:

      6:30 AM - opening of the start town;

      6:50 AM - ceremonial opening;

      7:00 AM - start of clusters A, B, C, D at distances of 42.2 and 21.1 kilometers;

      7:00 AM - start of the relay from cluster A;

      9:15 AM - start of the 10-kilometer distance;

      12:00 PM - start of the 3-kilometer distance;

      1:00 PM - closing of the course.
