The mayor of Orel announced the actual date when residents of Yekaterinburg will have hot water returned to their homes.
Hot water supply in Yekaterinburg is planned to be restored in a week. This was reported by the city's mayor Alexey Orlov in a conversation with "KP-Yekaterinburg."
According to him, a meeting was held at the Western filtration station, where specialists assessed the possibility of resuming water supply to heating organizations. Starting this evening, the phased filling of their systems will begin.
First of all, water is needed for conducting pressure tests. Currently, heating organizations do not have enough water to carry out technological work.
— I won’t lie and say that it will appear tomorrow, — noted Orlov.
He clarified that specialists will carry out the necessary work over the course of about a week, after which hot water is expected to start returning to the homes of Yekaterinburg residents.
The mayor also reported that residents who were forced to be without hot water will receive a recalculation of their payments.
Problems with cold water supply in Yekaterinburg began after eight filters at the water treatment station failed. This led to a decrease in pressure in the system, and some neighborhoods were left without both cold and hot water. Initially, "Vodokanal" promised to fully restore water supply by August 8, then the deadline was moved to August 9. However, over the weekend, it was not possible to restore water supply in full. Now water is promised by August 14.
