The drivers of the tow trucks who organized the dance have been arrested in Yekaterinburg.
Three participants of an unauthorized event in the center of Yekaterinburg have been arrested for 14 days, reports the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region. This concerns two truck drivers who organized a dance and one passenger.
Recall that several truck drivers parked on the sidewalk, turned on loud music, and started dancing. On Friday, August 14, the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg reviewed the cases against the three participants under Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation.
Regarding two of them, as previously reported, the State Traffic Inspectorate compiled 9 protocols related to traffic violations, and one more under Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (organization of an unauthorized mass event that led to a violation of public order) at the police department.
"At the court hearing, all of them admitted their guilt and expressed remorse for their actions. Considering the nature and public danger of the unlawful actions, the court imposed an administrative arrest of 14 days on each of them," the regional State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia stated.
The identities of the two drivers were established by traffic inspectors during verification activities using specialized information databases and the "Web" system. Subsequently, the third participant of the dance—a passenger of one of the trucks—was identified.
"The State Traffic Inspectorate emphasizes the inadmissibility of such actions related to violations of traffic rules and the conduct of unauthorized events, and calls on citizens to strictly comply with the laws of the Russian Federation. Verification activities to identify other possible participants are ongoing," the agency reported.
