A notorious violator was involved in a traffic accident on a Yamaha motorcycle in the city of Talitsa, reports the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region.
The accident occurred yesterday, August 22, on Lunacharsky Street. The driver of a Toyota, when exiting the adjacent territory of a shopping center, failed to yield to the Yamaha motorcycle traveling on Lunacharsky Street, resulting in a collision. The motorcyclist sustained injuries of varying severity but refused hospitalization.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old woman with 10 years of driving experience, was not injured. She had previously been held administratively responsible for traffic violations once. A sobriety test showed a negative result.
The woman explained that she did not see the approaching motorcycle before beginning her maneuver.
The motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man, was riding without a helmet and was deprived of his driving rights. According to the results of a medical examination, he was found to be in a state of alcohol intoxication, with an ethyl alcohol vapor concentration in his exhaled air of 0.345 mg/l. The man stated that he consumed alcohol after the accident.
Additionally, he lacked a mandatory insurance policy (OSAGO), and changes were made to the motorcycle's design without the permission of the State Traffic Inspectorate.
Administrative protocols were drawn up against the motorcyclist under part 1 of article 12.7 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (for operating a vehicle while deprived of the right to drive), under part 3 of article 12.27 (for consuming alcoholic beverages after a traffic accident before undergoing examination), under part 2 of article 12.37 (for lacking an OSAGO policy), under part 1 of article 12.5 (for making changes to the vehicle's design without permission), and under article 12.6 (for riding a motorcycle without a helmet).
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the Toyota driver under part 2 of article 12.13 (for failing to yield to a vehicle with the right of way at intersections).
