The authorities of Yekaterinburg are ready to transfer the catering in kindergartens to third-party companies.
In kindergartens in Yekaterinburg, there are plans to implement a food organization model involving third-party specialized companies. This became known during the interim results of the participation of educational institutions in Yekaterinburg in the federal project "Labor Productivity."
According to the education department, food services in all 168 schools in Yekaterinburg are organized by specialized companies. This experience has been recognized as successful, so it is planned to extend it to kindergartens.
The head of the city education department, Elena Kirichenko, reported that the preparatory stages of the project have been completed. The mayor of Yekaterinburg, Alexey Orlov, supported this idea.
— Non-core activities should be handed over to those who do this professionally, allowing us to focus on the educational process, on additional education, and on working with children. Everything else will be handled by those who are professionals in this field. The services will be of high quality, Orlov stated.
In addition, the city is considering the possibility of transferring cleaning and laundry services to third-party organizations. Another area of discussion has been the unification of schools and kindergartens into large educational complexes. This model is expected to ensure continuity of a child's education from preschool age, as reported by the EAN publication.
Earlier, it was reported that round-the-clock kindergartens may start operating in the Sverdlovsk region.
