Today at 11:45 AM in Yekaterinburg, work will begin in the coming days to install new canopies at the sites of demolished stops, which were combined with kiosks and booths. More than 150 bus stop canopies will be installed. This was announced by Mayor Alexey Orlov on his Telegram channel.
— We conducted an auction; the winning bid was from a Ufa-based company that has established a good reputation in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod. The contract will be signed next week. Thanks to competitive procedures, the city managed to save 35% of the initial lot cost. The saved funds will be directed toward the purchase of new stops, — Orlov said.
According to him, the new type of structures will initially appear on the most popular routes, after which contractors will replace outdated stops.
— As for those stops that cannot be fitted with new complexes: temporarily, structures available to district administrations will be installed there. However, this does not mean that any structures can be erected! I fully share the residents’ frustration, and I have prohibited the installation of "dilapidated" stops. For those already installed, I have issued orders to bring them into proper condition swiftly, — clarified the mayor.
