The director of the Department of Consumer Market and Services, Maxim Chaplygin, explained that a major reform is underway, causing most kiosks to soon lose their legal status. The designated spots no longer comply with modern laws and regulations, so out of about 1,500 kiosks, only around a hundred are legally established.
For this reason, the city hall is developing a new scheme.
— Priority is given to districts with low access to stores. Federal law states that kiosk placement should consider sustainable development of the area. If we see that one intersection has six stores on all sides, there is no point in installing a non-permanent facility there, — quotes Chaplygin, according to the portal E1.RU.
Earlier, we reported that in Yekaterinburg, all «Rospetchat» kiosks and those selling ice cream will be torn down.
