The Medal for Courage freed a Urals resident from criminal prosecution by bailiffs
Today at 10:06 AM, in the Sverdlovsk region, criminal prosecution was terminated against a debtor for alimony by enforcement officers due to his being awarded a state decoration. The regional FSSP of Russia's press service reported this on Tuesday.
The "Order of Courage" was awarded for heroism to an alimony debtor from Verkhny Pyshma, who is currently in the SVO zone, according to the bailiffs' press service.
After signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the man went to the front in 2024 following the initiation of a criminal case under Article 157 of the RF Criminal Code (non-payment of alimony); he had been evading alimony payments and accumulated a substantial debt. Since then, the young man has been serving under contract in the SVO zone and has received several state awards, including the Order of Courage.
The commander of the military unit petitioned for the soldier's exemption from criminal liability on the grounds of paragraph "a" of Article 78.1 of the RF Criminal Code — a person who committed a crime is released from criminal responsibility from the day of receiving a state award during military service.
The criminal prosecution of the man has been terminated. Alimony payments are being automatically deducted from his monthly salary for the benefit of his minor child.
