Former Yekaterinburg journalist included in the list of extremists and terrorists
Today at 12:02, a journalist from Yekaterinburg, Dmitry Kolesyev* (since 2022 listed as a foreign agent by the Russian Ministry of Justice), has been added to the list of terrorists and extremists by the Russian Federal Monitoring Service, reports TASS.
Forty-year-old Kolesyev* worked in Yekaterinburg for publications such as Uralpolит.ru, Ura.ru, and Znak.com, headed the editorial offices of It's My City (blocked within Russia at the request of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office) and Republic* (part of the same media holding as the Dozhd* TV channel; both media are recognized as foreign agents* in Russia).
Earlier, Kolesyev* was sentenced in absentia to 7.5 years in a general regime colony for spreading fake news about the Russian army. The sentence was handed down in absentia because Kolesyev* has been outside Russia for several years.
