Today at 11:15, in Yekaterinburg, a passenger at Koltsovo Airport was held administratively liable after being denied boarding on the Yekaterinburg - Sochi flight, according to the press service of the Transport Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Urals Federal District.
In the late hours of July 31, the duty unit of the Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at Koltsovo Airport received a report that a police patrol was needed at the check-in counter for the Yekaterinburg - Sochi flight.
The disorderly passenger, a 50-year-old woman from Yekaterinburg who had no prior legal issues, was taken to the duty office and sent for a sobriety test. The examination showed 1.01 per mille of alcohol in her exhaled breath.
It was established that the passenger arrived at the gate intoxicated. When airline staff made her a remark, she began to protest and used coarse obscene language. As a result, she was refused boarding and the incident was reported to police officers.
The police officers found out that the woman was not officially employed. She planned to fly to Sochi for vacation and had been drinking alcohol before the flight.
Transport police drew up an administrative protocol under Part 1 of Article 20.1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation and detained the offender in a special detention room. The October District Court of Yekaterinburg imposed a fine as punishment.
