The district administration of Yekaterinburg stated that they have no funds to purchase sand for the sandboxes
Today at 11:02 am, the administration of the Verkh-Isetsky district in Yekaterinburg revealed that they lack the money to deliver sand to the children's sandbox in the alley on Opaliikhinskaya Street. This information was obtained through the "Gosuslugi" portal by a resident of the Zarechny microdistrict. After reviewing it, the mothers of Yekaterinburg heavily criticized the officials.
"Considering your appeal No... we inform you that funds for purchasing sand for sandboxes are not provided for in the district administration's budget,"—says the official response received by a user of the U-mama site.
Meanwhile, the petition from a Yekaterinburg resident had already circulated through numerous authorities—from the Sverdlovsk Region government to the district administration, and was also reviewed by the city administration and the Department of Beautification, and even by the State Housing Supervision.
"This is a place where children from the entire district play, and the sandbox is full of trash!"—wrote an anonymous forum user. She emphasized that the sandbox is not located in a yard (where management companies are responsible for the sand), but in the alley on Opaliikhinskaya Street.
In the comments, another user of "Y-mama" from Yekaterinburg posted a photo of another sandbox, where a mountain of sand is clearly visible.
"This is because they bring us your sand as well. Usually, children fall out of the sandbox during the first week,"—the photo's author noted with a laugh.
Several other users (who, judging by their familiarity with bureaucratic procedures, are knowledgeable from long-term experience rather than hearsay) suggested solving the issue through alternative methods: writing a letter to a local deputy, appealing to the media.
"Yes, it seems everyone wants to increase the birth rate, but there’s no money for sand,"—one commentator sarcastically remarked.
According to users, one cubic meter of river sand costs 650 rubles. They also found out that the sand had not been delivered to this sandbox last summer either.
"If there’s sand, the administration will have to regularly send samples for testing by the SES (Sanitary-Epidemiological Service), which also costs a couple of thousand rubles per month,"—added another site user.
