
A car crashed into a commuter train near Yekaterinburg.
On the evening of September 11, in the Verkhnyaya Pyshma area a passenger car collided with an electric train. A female passenger was injured. EMERCOM rescuers pulled her from the car, which she could not exit on her own.
According to preliminary data, a 52-year-old driver in a Haval H-6 tried to cross the level crossing on a red signal but failed, crashing into the "Orlan." The latter was traveling from Verkhnyaya Pyshma to Shuvakish.
The 49-year-old wife of the driver was injured by the impact. She sustained rib injuries. She was taken to hospital.
"The Haval driver has been driving since 2015, has been held administratively liable for traffic violations five times, and was sober at the time of the crash," the State Traffic Inspectorate for the Sverdlovsk Region said.
There were four passengers on the train; they are all fine.
