In Yekaterinburg, a visitor who brutally killed a teenage girl will be sent for compulsory treatment

September 23, 2025 — The prosecutor’s office insists on compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital for the woman who murdered a 13-year-old girl in Pervouralsk. The order to send the criminal case to court for the application of this measure was approved by the prosecutor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Boris Krylov.

According to the investigation, on October 9, 2024, between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m., a woman born in 2003 (according to the EAN agency, she is a native of Uzbekistan) came to an apartment on Kosmonavtov Avenue in Pervouralsk where a woman she had recently known lived, under the pretext of needing to pick up a magazine. At that time only the acquaintance’s 13-year-old daughter was in the apartment. The girl offered the woman tea. Meanwhile, seeing a woman’s handbag in the room, the woman decided to steal 10,000 rubles from it, and the girl saw the theft, for which she was brutally stabbed to death.

“Seizing her phone, she inflicted with the blade of a knife at least 32 blows to the torso, at least 5 blows to the neck, at least 2 blows to the head and at least 2 blows to the girl’s left upper limb,” the Sverdlovsk regional prosecutor’s office said.

The child died, and the woman set the apartment on fire and fled. The girl’s body was found while the fire was being extinguished.

The woman is accused of committing socially dangerous acts prohibited by criminal law that fall under the elements of the crimes provided for in subparagraphs “v,” “d,” “z” of part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of a minor, whom the perpetrator knew to be in a helpless state, with particular cruelty, combined with robbery), and subparagraph “v” of part 4 of article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery with the use of items used as weapons, causing grievous bodily harm to the victim).

According to the conclusion of the expert commission, at the time of the acts imputed to her the woman suffered from a temporary mental disorder that deprived her of the ability to understand the factual nature and social danger of her actions and to control them, in connection with which she requires the application of compulsory medical measures.

The materials of the criminal case have been sent to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court for substantive consideration.

Earlier it was reported that the family decided to bury the murdered child in their homeland — in Tajikistan.
