
Sverdlovsk schools have begun sending students into quarantine due to acute respiratory viral infections.
In the Sverdlovsk Region, due to a rise in cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), two schools were completely closed, as well as 136 classes in 67 general education institutions. However, the epidemiological situation regarding ARVI remains stable and under control, the regional office of Rospotrebnadzor reports.
"In the current epidemic season in the Sverdlovsk Region, the ARVI situation is assessed as stable and under control. According to weekly monitoring data, closed are: two schools — 0.17% of the total number — and 136 classes in 67 general education institutions," the agency noted.
Attendance has also been suspended at one kindergarten and in 127 groups across 103 preschool institutions. The number of cases corresponds to average values for recent years, and the level of infection spread does not exceed permissible limits.
Recall that exactly one year ago in Akademichesky five schools were immediately sent into quarantine.
