The demolition of the 'Dirigible' in Yekaterinburg has been postponed.
The CEO of Atlas Development, former deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma Vladimir Gorodenker, said that the demolition of "Dirizhabel" has been postponed until 2028. According to the plans, the shopping center's site is to be developed with housing.
— Because there is a crisis right now, the shopping center is still operating, and we are working on other projects, we have no deadlines. "Dirizhabel" will stand for at least three years. Even if we reach the start of construction earlier, we have free undeveloped land, and we will start with that, the developer told the E1.RU portal.
Recall that in August 2023 the Yekaterinburg developer Atlas Development bought the "Dirizhabel" shopping center. Later, the deputy director of the city administration's consumer market department, Maxim Afanasyev, said that high-rises would be built on the site of the mall. However, later the head of the Chkalovsky District, Evgeny Shipitsyn, said during an E1.RU broadcast that "Dirizhabel" is not under threat for the next several years.
