Two people in a Honda Civic were killed in a nighttime crash in northern Sverdlovsk Oblast.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Sverdlovsk Region is establishing the circumstances of a road traffic accident that occurred last night in the Ivdel District. Two people were killed in the incident.
The accident occurred today, September 28, at about 02:50 on the 4th kilometer of the Staraia Sama–Maslovo road, near the settlement of Maslovo.
The driver and a female passenger of a Honda Civic, residents of the settlement of Maslovo, died. According to preliminary data, the vehicle collided with a tree. At the wheel was a 56-year-old man with 23 years' driving experience.
Neither he nor his passenger, a 52-year-old woman, were wearing seat belts and died at the scene.
It is known that the deceased driver had previously been held administratively liable for violating seat belt regulations.
The circumstances of the crash, including the driver's condition at the time of the accident, will be established during the investigation.
