An ice town in the style of Sverdlovsk rock will appear on the Plotinka. The main theme of this year’s New Year ice town in Yekaterinburg will be the 40th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Rock Club. More than 26 million rubles have been allocated for decorating the complex, the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg Glavnoe" reports.
The entrance arch will be made in the shape of the famous rocker gesture — the "goat" (the horns). Illuminated vinyl records with the names of iconic Ural bands — "Nautilus Pompilius", "Agata Kristi", "Chaif", "Nastya", "Urfin Dyus" and "Smyslovye Gallyutsinatsii" — will be placed on the wall of the Plotinka.
In addition to the traditional figures of Ded Moroz and Snegurochka and a 30-meter Christmas tree, the square will feature rocker snowmen and an ice labyrinth in the shape of the word "ROCK".
Construction is planned to be completed by December 30, 2025.
