Staff of the Taganay National Park commented on the incident with a tourist who had earlier accused them of assault. According to the park, the man, who was allegedly intoxicated, behaved inappropriately, used obscene language in front of children, and tried to flee from the state inspectors who had reprimanded him. In the process of attempting to escape he fell and sustained an eyebrow injury.
— On October 25, during a patrol of the area along the nature trail of the Semibratka eco-tourism complex, duty state inspectors discovered a group of visitors who were not registered. One of them, showing signs of alcohol intoxication, was shouting loudly and using obscene language in the presence of tourists, including children, the park told URA.RU.
Park staff noted that the man did not respond to demands to stop the violations and tried to flee with his group. After the fall and injury, the police were called to document the violation. The incident was caught on surveillance cameras; the recordings will be examined, and an investigation into the incident is underway. Earlier, the tourist himself, Alexander Trofimov, said that park staff had allegedly handcuffed and beaten him. The press service of the Chelyabinsk police confirmed that a probe is underway to establish an objective account of what happened.
