On the Sverdlovsk highway, a bus carrying passengers crashed into a truck.
A traffic accident involving a passenger bus occurred in the Tugulymsky District. The accident happened in the evening at the 270th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg–Tyumen highway.
According to preliminary information, the 71-year-old driver of a Hyundai bus, which was carrying passengers commercially toward Yekaterinburg, failed to maintain a safe speed and distance from vehicles stopped at a red traffic light in a roadwork zone. As a result, the bus collided with a stationary MAN truck, driven by a 58-year-old man.
A 40-year-old female passenger was injured in the incident — she was hospitalized with a thigh injury.
According to the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, there were 36 people on the bus at the time of the accident, including 10 children. The vehicle was traveling from Tyumen to the settlement of Pyshma — the group was returning home after visiting the circus.
