An important highway in Sverdlovsk Oblast has been repaired.
In the Urals, repairs on another section of the Nizhnie Sergi — Mikhailovsk — Arti highway have been completed. This is an important route connecting industrial Mikhailovsk with Nizhnie Sergi and Yekaterinburg, and it is also part of a transit corridor leading from Sverdlovsk Oblast to Bashkortostan.
Work on the road has been underway for several years. Of the highway’s 66.5-kilometer length, 40 kilometers have been renewed. Recently road crews completed the restoration of another four kilometers as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."
On the new section the pavement was completely replaced, the base was strengthened, slopes and drainage ditches were rehabilitated, and culverts were repaired. To improve traffic safety, new road signs and guardrails were installed, marker posts were restored, and road markings with reflective elements were applied.
According to the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk Oblast, in 2025 the region has allocated more than 11.8 billion rubles for the implementation of the national project "Infrastructure for Life." Governor Denis Pasler stressed that by 2030 it is planned to bring 85.6% of roads up to regulatory standards, which will require renewing about another 800 kilometers of roads.
