There has been an unexpected turn in the case of the gruesome discovery made by railway workers in the forest near Ivdel. It, recall, concerns a headless body found sitting beneath one of the trees.
As Valery Gorelykh, head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk regional MIA directorate, told KP‑Yekaterinburg, the headless body found was not a woman’s but a man’s. According to preliminary information, the death was not criminal in nature.
Items belonging to the deceased were found near the body: bags, glasses, a lighter, a folding chair, food, a charger, and a wallet containing a 1939 Reichsmark.
Earlier it was reported that, by its features, the corpse could not be identified as belonging to any of the missing local residents.
