It has been revealed who killed the woman whose naked body was found in a park in the southwest.

      Law enforcement officers identified the woman whose naked, headless body was found the day before in a park in the Southwest. A suspect was also detained. A criminal case has been opened on the charge of "murder."

      "Because the victim's head had been severed and there were no items of clothing or documents on her or at the scene, expert examinations helped establish the victim's identity. After fingerprinting the murdered woman, the obtained information was checked against fingerprint records. As a result, a match was found between the victim's fingerprints and prints obtained from a female citizen of one of the Central Asian countries who entered Russia in 2023," the regional Investigative Committee reported.

      The woman was 41 years old and worked at one of Yekaterinburg's shopping centers. Officers from the investigative-operational team determined her circle of contacts and identified the alleged killer. The woman was killed by her unemployed 21-year-old son.

      "With his participation an additional inspection of the scene was carried out, during which he indicated not only the place where the body was found but also the location of the victim's severed head and the victim's personal items. They were in a bag in the same Southwest forest park, approximately 200 meters from the place where the victim's body was found," the Investigative Committee clarified.

      The motive for the crime was a conflict between mother and son. The killer was identified and detained by detectives from the criminal investigation unit. The press secretary of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Sverdlovsk Region, Valery Gorelykh, said that the mother rented an apartment on Nachdiva Onufrieva Street and the son on Reshetnikova Street. But disputes still arose.

      "They apprehended the strangler at his place of residence. He was sure the police would not trace him because he had severed the head and hidden the clothing. According to one of the versions being worked on, the suspect may have lured the victim to the park in order to accompany her to a new, more comfortable rental apartment," Colonel Gorelykh emphasized.

      According to preliminary information, the murder was committed on the night of October 20. The killer told relatives about what had happened, but they did not report it to the police.

      "The suspect told two relatives about his action, but they were afraid to tell the police. Four other people lived in the apartment where the suspect lived. When investigators asked how he could raise a hand against his mother, he replied that he had repeatedly slaughtered domestic livestock before and had become accustomed to that process," Colonel Gorelykh added.
