Sixty-three apartments belonging to a former Ural governor and his family were handed over to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Apartments that belonged to former Chelyabinsk Oblast governor Mikhail Yurevich and his relatives, as well as apartments of former State Duma deputy Vadim Belousov in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and other cities, were transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense. In total, 63 real estate properties, the press service of the Central District Court noted.
“The defendants still have a debt to the Russian Federation of more than 18 billion 866 million rubles. The debtors are owners of 63 apartments in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and other cities. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has requested the transfer of the specified apartments for the needs of the Armed Forces, for the purpose of further providing them to servicemen,” the court press service told Ura.Ru.
The case was heard as part of a lawsuit by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against Yurevich, his family, and Belousov, Ura.Ru writes.
