In the Chelyabinsk region a man bit off a piece of a microchip that was in a piece of beef. The victim filed a report with Rospotrebnadzor, the prosecutor’s office and the police asking them to check the meat supplier, reports "URA.RU".
"On October 27 at lunchtime, while at work and eating food containing previously purchased meat from Myasnoy No.1, I discovered a foreign object in the form of an animal microchip in my mouth," the victim said in a comment on the establishment’s Google Maps page.
The man explained that he bought the meat on October 16, cut it up and put it in the refrigerator. The day before he cooked the meat in a pot with vegetables to take to work. As he began his lunch the man accidentally bit off part of some capsule, fragments of which ended up in his stomach.
To the review, user Alexey S. attached photos of the chip damaged by teeth, URA.RU reports.
As a Telegram channel clarifies, Alexey was able to identify the capsule as a special microchip that serves as a passport for the animal and contains a unique number. In addition, he carried out his own investigation and found that a microchip can remain inside a carcass that was not scanned because of the animal’s old age or illness.
Now Alexey is suffering from stomach pains and hopes the authorities will find out the exact reason why the microchip could have remained in the piece of beef. He purchased the piece of beef neck at one of the stores of the Myasnoy No.1 chain.
