In Yekaterinburg, a man who was attacked by teenagers in Botanika has died.
The man who was beaten by a group of teenagers at a bus stop after he reprimanded them for smoking and using foul language died the following day. A colleague of the deceased told the E1.RU publication about this.
The deceased was 39-year-old Vasily, who worked as a warehouse picker and lived in the settlement of Monetny. Earlier the police tried to establish his identity, mistakenly believing that the deceased was a pensioner.
According to the colleague, Vasily grew up in an orphanage. A few weeks ago he suffered a heavy loss — the death of his wife. The man is survived by a brother, who was supposed to contact the police.
"At first they said he died of a hangover, allegedly his heart stopped. But now there is a version that he may have been killed. He did have health problems, especially with his lungs," the colleague said. "I don't know why he ended up so far from his settlement."
A resident of the neighboring building, Vladimir, clarified that Vasily was returning from a shop when he reprimanded the teenagers. After a verbal altercation, several of them attacked the man.
"He was never aggressive and didn't get into conflicts. He always behaved calmly and respectfully," Vladimir noted.
Three days later, when Vasily stopped answering, Vladimir decided to visit him and found the man dead in his apartment.
"When the police arrived, they said that the death might not be criminal: he could have fallen while intoxicated and hit a nightstand. Final conclusions will be made after the autopsy," he said.
Another colleague of the deceased noted that Vasily was a kind, non-confrontational and calm person.
