Thousands of Sverdlovsk residents cannot fly abroad.
Since the beginning of 2025, court bailiffs in Sverdlovsk Region have issued more than 260,000 orders temporarily restricting the right to travel abroad. The total indebtedness of the citizens subject to this measure has exceeded 25 billion rubles.
Some 6,000 of the orders concern alimony non‑payers — their combined debt amounts to about 1 billion rubles. More than 9,500 restrictions have been imposed in relation to fines, including administrative fines and traffic police (GIBDD) fines, totaling over 530 million rubles.
Thanks to the use of the temporary travel restriction measure, more than 3.2 billion rubles have already been collected since the start of the year.
Ahead of the New Year holidays, when many residents of the region plan vacations or trips abroad, court bailiffs remind citizens to check for and pay off any debts in advance. You can check for outstanding debts and travel restrictions, and pay debts, in your personal account on the Gosuslugi portal. The law provides a period for voluntary compliance with a court decision — usually five days. If obligations are fulfilled within this period, enforcement measures, including a ban on travel abroad, are not applied.
