Seven people became victims of an accident involving a heavy truck on the Perm highway.
An accident involving a minibus and a truck on a highway in Perm Krai has, according to preliminary data, claimed seven lives, Interfax was told by the Unified Duty-Dispatch Service of the Kungur Municipal District.
"As a result of the accident seven people died, including one minor, a 17-year-old girl. Twelve people were injured," the regional Investigative Committee reports.
The accident occurred at the 55th kilometer of the R-243 Perm–Yekaterinburg highway, the Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) reports.
"On the Kostroma–Sharya–Kirov–Perm highway, on the approach to the settlement of Achit from the city of Perm in the direction of Yekaterinburg, a GAZelle bus driven by a driver born in 1967 was traveling, who, according to preliminary information, entered the oncoming lane, where it had a head-on collision with a Scania truck driven by a man born in 1988," MVD Media reports.
A criminal case has been opened into the deaths under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements, which by negligence caused the death of two or more persons).
